Secondary School Classroom furniture

When designing classroom furniture for secondary school students, we must balance ergonomics, safety and durability, functional suitability, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness, while taking into account key factors such as physical development, study duration, and usage scenarios.

Secondary school students are in a stage of rapid skeletal, spinal, and visual development; poor sitting posture can easily lead to issues such as myopia, hunched backs, and lumbar muscle strain.

It is particularly important for desks and chairs to feature height-adjustability, given the wide range of student heights and the long hours spent seated each day.

For the frames, thickened cold-rolled steel tubing with an electrostatic powder-coated finish is an ideal choice; this ensures resistance to rust, scratches, and paint chipping, allowing the furniture to withstand frequent moving and impacts. For the desktops and seat surfaces, fire-resistant or melamine-faced boards should be selected to ensure wear and stain resistance.
